Yemenis react to Saleh's power transfer deal

BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- It has been four days since Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh signed the Gulf Arab Proposal to transfer power.
Yemen still faces challenges after signing the Gulf Arab Proposal. Analysts say a key resolution is to form a coalition government and promote dialogue between parties to reach an agreement.
Yemeni Politics Commentator said, "Putting the Gulf Arab Proposal into practice right away will ease the tension. Talks should be held with separatist forces in the south and with the youth on the square. It must work effectively."
Analysts say Yemen should re-establish its military forces as soon as possible.
"The military should belong to the country, not a family or a tribe. " Yemeni Politics Commentator said.
Many Yemeni residents raised high expectations for the future. They believe the Proposal will ease tension, and solve issues like inflation, inadequate resources, and public security.
Sanaa resident said, "The Proposal is very popular among the Yemeni People. It will be recorded into history, because it saved 25 million people."
Others worry the Proposal may have only solved the current crisis, not the root causes.
Despite doubts that the Proposal may become a just piece of paper, experts says it will provide security for the region, Arab States, and the international community.
