JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Rookie T.J. Yates led the biggest drive in Houston Texans history Sunday, throwing a 6-yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left for a 20-19 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals that brought the first playoff berth in franchise history.
With their seventh straight win, the Texans (10-3) moved to the threshold of their first playoff berth. They clinched the AFC South title a few minutes later when Tennessee lost to New Orleans.
"It's pretty crazy," Yates said. "A lot of people in this organization have waited a long time for this. This is a special day for this team and this organization."
Cincinnati (7-6) couldn't prevent the Texans from going 80 yards in the closing minutes behind their third quarterback in the past four games.
N.Y. Giants 37, Dallas 34: Eli Manning led the Giants to two TDs in the final 3:14, and Jason Pierre-Paul blocked a field goal as time expired for visiting New York. The Giants (7-6) and Cowboys (7-6) are tied atop the NFC East. Dallas RB DeMarco Murray suffered a broken right ankle, ending his rookie season. Manning was 27-for-47 for 400 yards.
NEW ENGLAND 34, WASHINGTON 27: Tom Brady threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns, and Rob Gronkowski set an NFL single-season record for most touchdown catches by a tight end (15) as visiting New England (10-3) won its fifth straight.
ARIZONA 21, SAN FRANCISCO 19: John Skelton stepped in for the injured Kevin Kolb and threw for 282 yards and three TDs, and the host Cardinals (6-7) rallied to hand the 49ers just their third loss of the season.
BALTIMORE 24, INDIANAPOLIS 10: Terrell Suggs had three sacks and forced three fumbles to keep visiting Indianapolis winless. Baltimore (10-3) limited the Colts (0-13) to 167 yards -- 53 through three quarters.
ATLANTA 31, CAROLINA 23: Matt Ryan threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to rookie Julio Jones, and visiting Atlanta (8-5) erased a 16-point deficit. Ryan threw for 320 yards and tied a career high with four touchdown passes.
PHILADELPHIA 26, MIAMI 10: Visiting Philadelphia (5-8) forced three turnovers and scored four times during a 9-minute span in the second quarter and totaled nine sacks. Michael Vick, who missed three games with broken ribs, threw for 208 yards and a TD.
N.Y. JETS 37, KANSAS CITY 10: Mark Sanchez threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores for the host Jets (8-5), who scored 28 points in the first half.
JACKSONVILLE 41, BUCCANEERS 14: Maurice Jones-Drew scored four times, setting the franchise record for career touchdowns (71) for host Jacksonville (4-9).
SAN DIEGO 37, BUFFALO 10: Philip Rivers threw three touchdown passes, two to Antonio Gates, and the host Chargers (6-7) won their second straight following a six-game losing streak. Buffalo (5-8) lost its sixth straight game and was eliminated from playoff contention for the 12th straight year.
