Fresh protests are taking place at the Syrian embassy in London over President Assad's regime.
Six people were arrested during an overnight demonstration after 150 people gathered during the early hours, with some trying to enter the building.
It follows unverified reports of more than 200 people being killed by shelling in the city of Homs.
The Foreign Secretary William Hague said he was "horrified" at the reports coming out of the country.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) condemned the break in at the embassy, in Belgrave Square, which led to two police officers being taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Crowds of people, chanting and waving flags, have turned up outside the building and are calling for the Syrian Ambassador to leave.
